【war-related site】Concealment Bunker Cluster for Heavy Field Artillery at Shimosatozoe

This bunker cluster consists of four dugouts used by the 1st Battalion of the 1st Heavy Field Artillery Regiment. The three bunkers on the eastern side positioned and concealed type 96, 15 centimeter howitzers. The opening to the dugouts face southwest toward Nobarudake for the purpose of supporting the 28th Division headquarters from behind (on the east side). Bunker #1 was turned into an ossuary by orders of Vice Admiral Nomi, and there are a number of monuments erected surrounding this site.
