【war-related site】Mountain Artillery Bunker of Kurima
Located in the middle of a steep cliff northwest of the Kurima fishing port are two bunkers aligned side-by-side. The firing holes are fortified with concrete, and the bunkers overlook the southwestern direction of Miyako Island. The bunkers were used by the 6th Company of the 28th Mountain Artillery Regiment. One of the firing holes face the eastern side while the other faces northward, and it is thought that they were positioned to defend the areas in the direction of Shimoji.
