【war-related site】Bunker Cluster and Pillboxes on the Western Side of the Otake Castle Ruins Park; and Bunker Cluster at the Eastern Side of the Otake Castle Ruins Park

The western bunker clusters include three pillboxes immediately north of the observatory and the bunkers below are believed to have been facilities related to the 3rd Infantry Regiment.
The details in the use of the bunker cluster on the eastern side are unclear, but through interviews, it is believed that several bunkers housed tanks; and as the bunkers #37 and #38 have a total length of approximately 100 meters, with medicine bottles scattered about, it is thought that these were used as hospital shelters. The typhoon #14 in 2003 caused a landslide and a few openings of the smaller bunkers were buried.
